what is rosacea?

Rosacea is a chronic condition marked by facial flushing, persistent redness, visible vessels, and sometimes bumps. It is commonly found on your nose, cheeks, and forehead. There are multiple ways rosacea is triggered, causing it to flare up, including: stress, alcohol, sun exposure, hot or cold temperatures, hormone changes, spicy foods, and even skincare or hair products. And, it is unfortunately a lifelong condition with no cure. However, there are ways to manage and improve it.

treatment options

One option for treating rosacea is IPL. IPL targets the dilated blood vessels, shrinking them and reducing the chronic redness and flushing of rosacea. We generally suggest at least 3 treatments for best results but most people see results after just one session. And, since rosacea is a lifelong condition with no true cure, future treatments with IPL are most likely needed.

Another option is red light therapy. Red light therapy uses low-level wavelengths to penetrate your skin, working at the cellular level to lower inflammation. You can add red light therapy to any of our facials!
