what's the difference between traditional and korean lash lifts?
The primary difference between traditional and Korean lash lifts is in their first step. During a Korean lash lift, eye lashes are first relaxed before they are reshaped on a rod. This step doesn't occur in traditional lash lifts and minimizes tension from the lashes, allowing easier manipulation of them when they are curled, or lifted.
what can I expect during my Lash Lift appointment?
Before any treatment, the esthetician will do a spot test of the lash product on your skin to make sure you are not allergic.
Your lash lift appointment will start with your lashes being cleaned, to remove any makeup or residue. Then, the bottom eyelashes will be taped down so that they are out of the way. A flat silicone shield is placed upon the bottom of your eye and your eyelashes are relaxed with a cysteamine based lotion. Then, once that step is fully processed, a curl rod will be placed on your eyelid and your lashes will be adhered to that rod with the setting solution. After this step, if you want tint, that will be applied as well. The whole process takes about 45 minutes depending on your lash length and coarseness.
You may experience some stinging - it is normal. However, the esthetician will follow every precaution to minimize any eye irritation.
what are the benefits of a Korean Lash Lift and Tint?
Clients love Korean last lifts and tints because it curls and darkens your natural lashes which means that you naturally look like you have curled lashes with mascara on. This means getting ready is faster every day!
